According to the Star Tribune, the community is coming together to aid children who were displaced during the tornado barely two months ago. 130 children plus those in a waiting list in north Minneapolis are being targeted by a special summer program for families who were homeless or waiting for repairs after the disaster in order to offer their kids a safe place to play. The program will run until August 18th.
"They say the number one tragedy is accidents that occur after a tornado," said Rico Alexander, director of Head Start and Early Head Start. "With all of the debris, we wanted to get children off the streets while repairs are being done." The free program, run by Parents in Community Action, received more than $276,000 from the Minnesota Department of Education, the Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of Head Start in Washington, D.C., and Resources for Child Caring, a local child care education agency.
Almost immediately, program officials were able to fill up five classes of 3- to 5-year-olds, one class of 5- to 8-year-olds, and one class with 10 infants and toddlers. Minneapolis Public Schools estimated that there were 290 newly homeless children due to the tornado. Head Start officers said they wished they had more funding to accommodate all kids affected by the tornado.

Not only is this line of insurance valuable to consumers, but it benefits your financial institution. This is because you know you will be paid if your customers are unable to make payments on their own. The more customers you have who are covered by loan protection insurance, the less you will have to worry about the number of defaulted payments you have to deal with. So as our community rebuilds itself, let us aid you and give you peace of mind with our loan protection insurance today!
